USRx is an inclusive clinical skincare company with products online and in over 13,000 retail stores. I was responsible for the Target Holiday Kit designs and concepts for two years. For 2023, I worked closely with the print vendor to develop the packaging structure, as well as came up with concepts and designs. The kit had a 100% sellout in Target and on the DTC site. Also shown are the Lip Duo set, the Body Oil set, and the Fade + Clarify kit.
A luxurious body oil designed for reducing stretch marks and scars. This was a new product I designed for the prestige ProStrength Body line that is in a beautiful frosted bottle unlike any other product USRx had done. I worked closely with the component vendors to make sure the level of frosting was just right for optimal readability and to show off the product color. An innovative 2-in-1 serum product I designed for Urban Skin Rx unlike any other packaging that had been done for the brand. The AM Serum improves the look of discolorations with a triple-brightening blend and the PM Serum combines powerful antioxidants with a next-generation retinoid-active to fight aging skin. I worked closely with the overseas vendor to get the gradient and colors perfected with a very time-sensitive deadline. The product is sold at Ulta and on the DTC site.
Retail in-store displays, etageres, end caps, shelf strips, trade show booth displays, and promotional mailers for Urban Skin Rx, an inclusive clinical skincare company with products online and in over 13,000 retail stores. Retailers worked with included Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Ulta, and CVS.
Social media graphics, videos, landing page, and a digital toolkit I developed for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts Day of Giving campaign. The concept was the Art of Giving, illustrating that the giving was bringing life to the arts. The campaign raised more than $45,000 from 563 donors in one day.

In 2022 (Dark Spot Free), the kit had an 81% sale rate in retail, and a second kit (#metime) was developed to have enough inventory to sell on DTC.
Tenth Anniversary campaign case statement, social graphics, letterpress invitation, billboard, and landing page designed for The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma, co-founded by Richard Childress. The concept was based on racing wisdom relating to kids staying healthy and trauma-free for a 1M dollar campaign. Various racing elements were incorporated into the materials, including a #10 graphic that looked like a retro racing car number, and pedometers to measure the campaign numbers and success as the funds came in on a day of giving.
The campaign goal was met and exceeded and the Institute attracted new donors for future giving.
Ravenscroft School is a private school for ages Pre-K through grade 12 in Raleigh, NC. I redesigned their alumni magazine twice and worked on three issues a year for seven years, from project management to art direction and design. The magazine received a CASE Award of Excellence for magazine improvement. The magazine was also awarded a gold and bronze award for the InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Award competition in 2017.

I led and supported the development and execution of 10 distinct product designs, designed and managed two comprehensive overhauls of the mass packaging line, updated the prestige ProStrength line, developed the design for the mass Body line, and reimagined the Clarify line.
When retailers were expressing concern that the all-white Urban Skin Rx Clarify line was getting lost on the shelf, I took a look at how we could improve the line overall, designed this frosted gray glass bottle, and updated the unit carton to have a blue background for extra pop. Print ads, billboards, bus tails, and videos for The Pre-K Priority, an initiative to bring Pre-K to all four year olds in Forsyth County, NC. The concept was that child’s play is serious work, and that even as children are playing, they are learning. I came up with the concept, art directed the photo shoot and video shoot, designed the ads, billboards, bus tails, and some social graphics.
A USRx product I designed the primary and secondary packaging for that improves the appearance of fine lines and dark circles under the eyes. This product sold out on DTC within 10 days. Reformulated from the Prestige line to the Mass line to be Vegan and features a cooling applicator to reduce the look of puffiness. Greenlight Products offers entrepreneurs the chance to bring their ideas to fruition in order to create tangible, innovative products. I was the creative director for the video and photoshoot and the packaging designer for The Ringer. I also set up the original e-commerce site and was the Creative Director for the Fusion magnetic cushion video and photoshoot.
Intersections is a a magazine of the Forsyth County Public Library system. I was awarded the multi-year magazine contract as the sole designer and director, prevailing against competing agencies in the bidding process, primarily attributed to my editorial expertise. I was also the photographer as needed for featured shots.
Concept work for Krispy Kreme Fundraising for brochures, a video, and the fundraising page of their website. The concept was to "Say Yes to Joy" by finding joy in raising money for organizations and finding joy in how Krispy Kreme makes us feel.

I art directed and designed their admissions materials with the theme The Best of You to reflect their high standard of academic excellence and leadership skills. Multiple students were on the viewbook covers and applications to represent their different lower school and upper school audiences. I also designed traditional advertising, banner ads, as well as their alumni magazine.
Columbia College is a women's college in Columbia, SC. I designed various admissions materials, as well as promotional materials for their graduate and evening program, including a financial aid brochure, a student life brochure, banner ads, landing pages, direct mail cards, traditional ads, billboards, and social media campaigns targeting prospective students utilizing Google AdWords, Facebook, and Pandora Internet Radio.

A specialized leadership program called Navigating Change for mid- to senior-level business managers from the Center for Creative Leadership. The concept was that you have to get out of your antiquated thinking and old ways of doing things in order for changes to occur within an organization. Design included a brochure, banner ads, social media ads, and pages for their website.
A lower school in Los Encinos, California. Think Big, Start Small was the concept that showed the big ideas in learning at the school and portrayed that they were unapologetically small in size.
I conceptualized and art directed the photoshoot, designed the recruitment brochure, pocket folder, direct mail postcards, advertising, and webpage templates for the school.

A private girls' high school in Raleigh, NC. For their admissions materials, the Together We Are More concept had a series of photos of the students looking across the page at their teachers and mentors to reflect that it was truly a community of learning and working together.
I conceptualized and art directed the photoshoot, designed the viewbook and application package, created a series of direct mail postcards, did a series of ads, and also designed web page templates. I also redesigned their alumnae magazine and managed and designed several issues. The magazine received a CASE Grand Award for Magazine Publishing Improvement.
A troubled teen girls’ school in Burnt Hills, New York. Expressive art therapy and equine therapy are some of the key ways the girls work towards healing. The concept Right Time Right Place reflects that this is the right time in their lives and they are at the right place at the school. I developed the concept with an art journal feel, art directed the photoshoot, designed a capabilities brochure, and designed the school website.
Original license plate design which raised awareness of The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and was a source of substantial funding for the organization. In 2023, North Carolina drivers raised $574,461 to enhance the national park by purchasing or renewing their Blue Ridge Parkway specialty license plate. That is the largest amount raised through the program in more than a decade. Proceeds from the plate also added up to more than $250,000 for the NC DOT Wildflower Program, which creates pollinator habits along interstates from the mountains to the coast.
A community foundation in Winston-Salem, NC. I was the lead designer for twelve years on their annual reports, annual dinner materials, and branding system that leveraged their values.
Marketing materials created for a retirement community in Winston-Salem, NC. The concept comes from the beauty of the campus and celebrating the beautiful moments in life, as well as from the large art collection they have at Arbor Acres. I shot some of the photography, art directed the portraits, did the illustration, and designed the materials, including a pocket folder with an insert, multiple brochures highlighting the homes, apartments, and assisted living floorplans, a trifold brochure, and ad campaign.
A health system in Asheboro, NC, that I worked with for over twelve years. Campaigns included a patient centered experience of the values of Randolph Hospital, a tv spot for the Human Motion Institute, and the "Seeing a little more blue around town" tv spots, which were to raise awareness that Randolph Hospital had changed it name to Randolph Health and more blue was appearing all over town with the signage of the various physician offices and treatment centers. Other campaigns also included materials and a TV spot for the Cancer Center.
I conceptualized the creative, art directed the video and photo shoots, designed their print ads and direct mail, and guided the production of the custom music in the tv spots. I also did the video editing on some of the tv spots (and have even been known to shoot some of the footage).
